Our editorial team is embarking on a new experiment in 2022. We invite our dear visitors to visit virtual exhibitions that are based on the collection of the Informatics History Database (ITA) and provide an opportunity to present information, documents, videos, images, events, and happenings related to the history of Hungarian informatics.
The following exhibitions are currently available for viewing.
- The KSH Empire is a concise, lexicon-like, searchable description of the IT institutional system created by the KSH.
- Portraits from the history of Hungarian healthcare informatics. The exhibition describes the development of a new profession in Hungary through the presentation of its outstanding personalities.
- Life in Data Centers shows how a data center operated in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.
- A Képeskönyv az ötvenéves NJSZT szereplőiről és eseményeiből villant fel néhányat, 100 oldalon, képekben. Bemutatásra kerül a Társaság karaktere, valamint említésre kerülnek a Társaság történetének főbb íveit meghatározó fontos események, személyek. A szereplő személyek, rövidítések ismertetését külön névmagyarázatban találhatjuk meg.
- It contains some video excerpts from Győző Kovács's "video archive" to present Győző Kovács's eventful life and extensive activities.
- Up there on the mountain... exhibition takes you to KFKI. It presents the construction, operation and applications of computers and networks from 1950 to 2014.
- The History of Artificial Intelligence in Hungary uses a timeline to present research and development activities in various areas of artificial intelligence over the past half century. A preliminary English translation can be found here.
