  • Between 1972 and 1983, he worked at the Computer Engineering Department of the Electric Power Industry Research Institute (VEIKI) in the positions of system programmer, scientific associate, group leader and scientific department leader. Initially, he developed on Razdan-3, and then from 1974 he led the operation of the R-40 computer. He worked as a consultant on the commissioning of several large-scale ESR machines (e.g. at the National Oil and Gas Trust (OKGT), the Paks Nuclear Power Plant, the National Technical Information Center and Library (OMIKK)).
    He has lectured at the Computer Science Education Center (SZÁMOK) and the Institute of Engineering Education of the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and has written textbooks.

    Between 1983 and 1984, he was the head of the R-35 computer center of the Hungarian Post Office's Cheque Clearing Office.
    Between 1985 and 1989, he again headed the Operations Department of the Computer Engineering Department at VEIKI (R-40 and IBM 4361 computers). During this period, he held courses commissioned by the Computer Engineering Application Company (SZÁMALK) and IBM Hungary Ltd.

    Between 1989 and 1992, he was the head of department at the National Commercial and Credit Bank (OKHB), dealing with the installation and operation of the bank's computer systems.
    Between 1992 and 1996, as the managing director of the National Savings Bank (OTP), he participated in the implementation of the bank's modern, integrated account management system.
    Between 1997 and 2000, as the Chief IT Inspector of the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority, he contributed to the development of a unified IT audit method for banks and savings cooperatives, as well as to the audit of the Y2K (so-called millennium) transition of the domestic banking system. During this period, he co-authored articles and presented at conferences. In 1996, he obtained the CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) qualification; he held the title until his retirement.
    Between 2000 and 2006, he worked again at OTP, first as a consultant and then as managing director, managing the bank's computer systems. He retired in August 2006.

    Between 1996 and 2006, he participated in the work of the Hungarian association of the international ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association).
