    Between 1961 and 1968, he performed analytical chemical measurements at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (GYKI). Later, as a scientific secretary, he coordinated the scientific activities of the institute and dealt with theoretical methods of research planning.

    Between 1968 and 1974, he worked at the Continuous Process Control Department of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Computer Science and Automation Research Institute (SZTAKI), first as a researcher and then as a deputy head of department, working on the modeling and control of chemical processes.

    Between 1974 and 1988, he worked at the Department of General and Analytical Chemistry of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), first as a researcher and then as the head of the Department's Hungarian Academy of Sciences Computer Science Research Group, developing computer instrument systems, conducting chemometric research, and computer control of chemical and pharmaceutical processes, as well as teaching computer-aided instrumental analytics. He defended his PhD thesis in 1975.

    Between 1988 and 1990, he managed the quality assurance activities of pharmaceutical production as the quality assurance manager of the Kőbánya Pharmaceutical Factory. Since 1989, he has been a doctor of chemical sciences.

    In 1990, as Deputy Secretary of State, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB), where he managed the development and operation of the new research and development tender system until 1994. In addition, as Secretary of the Interministerial Committee on Quality, he participated in the development of the state regulatory system for quality.

    Between 1994 and 2003, he was a university professor at the University of Veszprém (VE) and participated in the launch of the technical informatics program, and was an active participant in the development of the new program's subjects. He also participated in the launch and teaching of the quality assurance engineer training program. He retired in 1998, but continued his teaching activities.

    Between 2003 and 2006, he established and directed the Department of Natural Resources as a university professor at the University of Debrecen (DE), and participated in the food industry quality assurance engineer training.

    He was previously the chairman of the Quality Assurance Advisory Committee of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee, a member for 10 years. He was also the chairman of the Association of Technical and Natural Science Associations (MTESZ). He is a member of the National Sustainable Development Council of the Parliament.

    Awards: Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2004); Neumann Lifetime Achievement Award (NJSZT, 2018).
