Laszlo Vegh (Ladislav Vegh)
From 1999, he taught mathematics and computer science at the Eötvös Street Hungarian-medium Elementary School in Komárom (Slovakia). He participated in the development of the school's IT classrooms and computer network. He developed several mathematical teaching and practice software for students; he prepared talented students for mathematical competitions.
He has been an assistant professor and then an assistant professor at the Department of Informatics of Selye János University since 2005. He teaches in the applied informatics and teacher informatics departments: he teaches programming and application-oriented subjects, and is responsible for the professional practice of applied informatics students.
His research interests include programming teaching methodology, teaching algorithms supported by programming animations and visualizations, and the use of virtual worlds in education. He has published the results of his research at numerous domestic and international conferences, journals, and book chapters. He is the author and co-author of university textbooks. He has actively participated in the organizing and program committee work of several domestic and international conferences.
Member of the Informatics Olympiad Committee of the Nitra District. External public body member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Honors: Rector's Award (Selye János University, 2017); Tarján Rezső Award (NJSZT, 2022).
