István Vassanyi

He has been working at the Faculty of Technical Informatics of the University of Pannonia since 1997, as an associate professor.

His teaching activities cover the topics of database management, data modeling, digital systems, data analysis, information theory, cryptography and health information systems. His research interests include the application of data mining in the medical field, expert systems in healthcare and telemedicine applications. Since 1998, he has been the supervisor or coordinator of 12 successful major domestic and European research and development projects. He is the author of more than 155 journal and conference articles and the co-inventor of a European patent in the field of health telemonitoring systems.
