Lajos Varga
After graduating from university, he joined the Information Processing Laboratory of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), where he worked on economic calculations.
In 1970, he was deputy head of the Information Processing Laboratory (Infelor).
He soon transferred to the Central Statistical Office, where in 1973 he became Deputy Director of the Computer Engineering Directorate, in 1975 Deputy Head of the Computer Engineering Applications Department, and then from 1976 Head of the Computer Engineering Applications Department.
In the 1980s, he was the head of the editorial board of the journal Information Electronics.
Around 1984, he was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Softinvest Software Trading and Development Company.
Honors: Neumann Prize (NJSZT, 1988); Jubilee Award (NJSZT Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Association, 2002).
