    1964-1968: He began his computer science career – after 8 years of work as a physics teacher – as a scientific associate at the Computing Center of the Institute of Industrial Economics and Plant Management (NIM IGÜSZI) of the Ministry of Heavy Industry, where he dealt with hardware maintenance and writing test programs, and then developed a drawing machine programming language (Grafomat).

    Between 1968 and 1975, he participated in the development of a computer-based PCB design system (NYÁR) as a department head at the Infelor Systems Technology Company (Infelor), and then headed the institute's computer center as a department head.

    Between 1976 and 1991, as deputy lab manager at the Computer Science Coordination Institute (SZKI), he also led the development of a computer-based PCB design system and participated in the development of application projects. After that, as department manager, he switched to the development of computer digital image processing and character recognition systems.
    After SZKI was split into smaller companies in 1991, he continued to work at SZKI Pixel Ltd., where, with the help of a colleague, they developed a medical diagnostic image processing system (PAMINA).

    In 1992, he changed jobs again: until 1996, he was a department manager at Magyar Hitel Bank (MHB), managing the installation and then operation of the banking information system (MIDAS).

    Between 1996 and 2006, as a private entrepreneur and head of the Profi-AG Computer Service Office, he undertook various program development jobs and computer education; in the latter, he taught Microsoft application systems, higher-level mathematics, and programming languages (Pascal, Java).

    In the years 1972-1993, in parallel with all these activities, he regularly taught at the Institute of Engineering Continuing Education of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), the Neumann János Faculty of Informatics (NIK) of the Budapest Technical College (BMF), at the Computer Application Company (Számalk), and at the Számalk National Adult Education Institute (OFI).

    Scientific and professional public activities: participation and/or giving lectures on computer technology and image processing topics at national and international conferences (Neumann conferences, IFIP, CAIP); between 1969-1980 he was a permanent member of the Design Automation (9th) section of the Unified Computer System (ESZR). Member of the NJSZT since 1968.

    Publications: 44 independent articles in various journals; 6 professional books as author or co-author (including the first Hungarian-language book on digital image processing); and 3 university notes as editor or co-author.

    Award: Lifetime Achievement Award (NJSZT, 2011).

    • As a hobby, he has been studying the relationship between religion and morality for over 50 years; he has developed the 5 basic norms of humanist morality. He has published 10 studies and 4 books on the subject.
