Vince Szűcs
After graduating from university, he worked on microprocessors at the Further Education Center of the Ministry of Heavy Industry for two years, and then until 1985, he was responsible for developing microcomputer process control equipment at Labor Műszeripari Művek (MIM).
Between 1986 and 1993, he was the software director of Controll Informatikai Rt.; he managed the software sales area and software development activities. In this role, he was one of the leaders of the development of the IT system used to evaluate the referendum and parliamentary elections in connection with the 1990 regime change.
From 1993 to 2017, he worked as the IT Director of Richter Gedeon Plc. IT was an active participant in the success story of the company's development. Together with his colleagues, he built an efficiently functioning IT environment; several IT systems were introduced to serve the thousands of users of the Richter Group. After privatization, in 1994, they were among the first to introduce the SAP R/3 system in Hungary to support operational processes.
Richter's transformation into a multinational company began in the 2000s, as part of which the IT development of the production subsidiaries and then the commercial subsidiaries came to the fore; finally, the IT support of the pharmaceutical wholesale trade and the company's pharmacy chains also came into play. Under its leadership, the IT Directorate sought to support all areas of Richter's diverse activities; thus, with its participation, numerous projects were implemented in the fields of automation, production management, technical design, GIS, research and drug development, registration and pharmacology.
He has presented reports on the results and experiences of various IT projects at numerous conferences.
From 2017 until his retirement, he supported Richter's IT activities as a consultant.
