    His first job was at the Heavy Chemical Industry Research Institute (NEVIKI) in Veszprém, and then between 1970 and 1996 he carried out research and development tasks in the field of digital electronics and testing at SZKI – as a department head and then as a chief engineer. During this time, he was a visiting researcher at Stanford University for a year.

    From 1966 until his death, he taught at the Széchenyi István University (SZE) in Győr, where he was the head of the Department of Informatics between 1997 and 2010. As an instructor (and organizer), he developed curricula, teaching materials, and textbooks, and he successfully coordinated the compilation of IT professional launch materials. His research and teaching areas include: computer-aided design of digital network tests, testing of safety-critical computer systems, testing, verification, and validation of software systems. He has 170 publications.

    He obtained his PhD in Technical Sciences in 1980. He was awarded the Széchenyi Professorship Scholarship between 1988 and 2002.

    Between 1986-94 he was a member of the Doctoral Council of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (under its current name), and between 1988-2001 he was a member of the Electronics and Computer Engineering Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. As a member of the IEEE, he participated in the organization of several international event series. He was a member of the editorial board of the “Hungarian Electronic Journal” for years, while he was an invited reviewer of OTKA, NKHT and EU applications.

    Honors: Hungarian Academy of Sciences Academic Award (1978); Innovation Award (2008, IBM Research Institute, USA).
