  • A medical computer scientist – although his education is in physics. From 1977 he was one of the leaders of the State Computer Service (ÁSZSZ), and from 1990 he was its CEO.

    As the permanent secretary of the Medical Biology Department of the Hungarian National University of Science and Technology, he is a defining figure in the Neumann Colloquia.

    In 1977, supporting the previous computer collection campaigns of Győző Kovács and Dániel Muszka, the three of them - in the NJSZT Technology History Committee - founded the Szeged Informatics Collection.
    Note (from the editor): the Informatics History Museum Foundation (ITMA), which cares for the Collection, was established in 1992 by the National Institute of Information Technology, the National Technical Museum and the Hungarian Statistical Office.

    He was the deputy chairman and then vice chairman of the National Union of Hungarian Students.
    In 1989, the NJSZT recognized his work with the Neumann Prize.
