    After graduating, he worked in industry at the Electrical Automation Institute (VILATI), designing industrial automation equipment.

    In 1960, Academician Ottó Benedikt transferred him to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Automation Research Laboratory (AKI), later the Computer Science and Automation Research Institute (SZTAKI). Here, he worked as a researcher on expanding the applications of the autodyne electrical amplifier until 1965 (at which time the topic was discontinued, as the amplifier was replaced by semiconductor thyristors). After that, he became acquainted with computer technology. From 1965 to 1970, he worked as the scientific secretary of SZTAKI, and then he worked on the computer-aided design (CAD) of electrical machines, which was considered pioneering at the time. He also spent the years 1970-1981 at SZTAKI. In 1975, he earned a doctorate from the BME.

    From 1981 - at the invitation of Academician Lénárd Pál - he became an employee of the Central Office of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences with the title of Chief Advisor. His duties included supervising the Academy's automation and mathematical work and institutes.

    Between 1985 and 1990 - at the invitation of László Kapolyi, Minister of Industry - he worked in the Ministry of Industry as Deputy Head of Department and Chief Advisor. His task was to coordinate the relations between industry and research and development. During this time, he was the head (program manager) of a five-year industrial R&D program.

    After 1990, he founded a company (Transmitter Ltd.), which dealt with industrial consultations. From 1995, his new company: TransCoder Ltd.
    At the same time (since 1990) he has been working as a freelance journalist and professional writer. He is the author, co-author, and editor of 31 books, nine of which are in the Életutak series, the seventh of which is also his autobiography.

    He was co-chairman of the Measurement Technology and Automation Scientific Association (MATE); executive committee member of the Association of Technical and Natural Science Associations (MTESZ); board member and spokesperson of the Hungarian Academy of Engineering (MMA). He was editor-in-chief of the journal Hungarian Science; editorial board member of the journal Automation.

    His main awards: Order of Merit for Work, TEKHNÉ Medal (MMA), Golden Pen Journalist (MUOSZ - National Association of Hungarian Journalists), Uranium Pen Award (Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd.), István Kruspér Memorial Medal (MATE), Richárd Kolos Award (MATE), Tivadar Puskás Award (HTE - Scientific Association of Information Communications and Informatics).
