  • physicist - Moscow State University - 1967.

  • After graduating from university, he worked as a software developer at the Central Physics Research Institute (KFKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He participated in the programming work of the TPA-70 project launched in the late 1960s alongside Gyula Lőcs.

    In 1971, he was transferred to the Computer Science Coordination Institute (SZKI), where he first completed work on the S-Text text editor, developed for KFKI together with György Mandler.
    Between 1971 and 1978, he was the Hungarian delegate to the Intergovernmental Committee on Computer Science (ICCS), established at international level to coordinate the implementation of the European System of Information Systems (ESI). He served in this role for two terms, starting in 1974 as the Deputy Director of the ICCS.

    From 1979, as a department head of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB), he participated in the Computer Science Research Target Program (SZKCP), and later in the national medium-term research and development program.
    In the 1990s, he was unable to continue his career due to a hereditary eye disease.
