Simon Gyula
Since 1987, he has been teaching at the Fazekas Mihály High School in Debrecen, where, together with Ildiko Kiszely, he is at the forefront of talent development and preparation for competitions. Their students regularly achieve outstanding results, for example, in IT competitions organized by the NJSZT, the National IT Study Competitions, and international student olympiads.
From 1995 he was the head teacher of the Informatics subject at the University of Debrecen (DE). Between 1996 and 2006 he was a lecturer and practice leader in Informatics methodology at the full-time and correspondence departments of the University.
Between 1995 and 2008, he worked as a consultant for the Hajdú-Bihar County Programming Office. Since 1995, he has been organizing the Hajdú-Bihar County Programming Competitions.
Between 2005 and 2006, he led advanced-level baccalaureate examiner preparation courses in Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties. Since 2005, he has been a corrector, examiner, and chairman of advanced-level IT baccalaureate exams.
His textbook "Computer Science for High School Students", written in 2005, has reached its fourth edition.
Awards: Ministerial "Certificate of Appreciation" for preparing successful students at the International Student Olympiad (2003: physics, 2004: informatics, 2005: physics, 2014: informatics); For talent development in informatics (Graphisoft Mathematics Foundation, 2009); Bonis Bona - The Nation's Talents Award (Minister of Human Resources, 2013); Tarján Memorial Medal (NJSZT, 2014).
