  • He began his career in 1967 at the Information Processing Laboratory (Infelor), where he worked on computer-aided design (CAD) as a group leader. From 1975 to 1993, he was a department leader at the Institute of Electrical Automation (Vilati), managing software development tasks for real-time controls. Between 1993 and 1996, he was the head of a department dealing with GIS software development at Geoview Systems Kft.

    From 1996 to 2002, he worked as a department head in government IT at the Prime Minister's Office; he led the geospatial and data management working groups of the Interministerial Committee on IT.

    From 2002, he was the head of the e-government department of the Ministry of Informatics and Communications, where he headed the e-government Subcommittee of the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Committee for the Information Society (ITKTB). He represented Hungary in numerous international projects, working groups and committees.

    From 2007 to 2013, he managed e-government projects as a senior consultant at eGov Consulting Ltd.

    Since 2011, he has been an expert at the National Communications and Informatics Council (NHIT); his main areas of work are data policy and e-government.
    He has been a member of the board of the Magyary Zoltán E-Public Administration Association since its establishment in 2005. He has been the president of the Hungarian Geospatial Information Society (HUNAGI) since 1999; he has been the president of the Audit Committee since 2007. He is also a member of the National Geographic Society.

    He has published the majority of his more than 140 conference presentations and articles on the topics of electronic public administration and data policy.

    Awards: Certificate of Recognition (Office of the Prime Minister, 1998); Professional Medal for the Information Society (Minister of Information Technology and Communications, 2004); Tivadar Puskás Award (Minister of National Development, 2014); Civilian Branch of the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit (President of the Republic, 2019).
