  • He played an outstanding role in the introduction of smart cards in Hungary and in introducing the world of smart cards to Hungarian users.

    From the early 1980s, he gave educational lectures as a senior associate at the National Technical Information Center and Library (OMIKK), and then at the LSI Application Technical Service.

    He was the managing director of the Active Memory Card Economic Company (AMK GT), founded in 1984. From 1990, he managed the AMK GT Unicard Data Carrier Card Association, which became independent.
    He was the founding leader of the Intelligent Card Forum (IKF), established within the National Association of Hungarian Citizens (NJSZT) in 1997.

    In 2000, he established IC Card Consulting Bt. Consulting Service as an independent enterprise.

    Professional experience: system organization, application and development of chip card systems in banking, commerce, public administration, local government, education, identification, security, healthcare, telecommunications, public transportation, leisure and other areas.

    In the organizational and educational work, it has built close cooperation with many domestic partners, notably the OMIKK, the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB), the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) and primarily the NJSZT, which significantly supports the professional programs and provides an organizational framework.

    He also played an active role in international conferences; since 2000 he has been a member of the eEurope Smart Card Charter and the Interoperable e-ID Steering Committee.

    For his work, the Hungarian National Academy of Sciences awarded him the Neumann Prize in 2007.
