Péter Pellionisz
In 1963, after graduating, he became a member of the KFKI Atomic Energy Research Institute, where after the first few years he worked on instrumentation and correlation analysis of stochastic signal studies, and developed a novel methodology for neutron spectroscopy measurements.
Between 1969 and 1971, he worked in France as a visiting researcher at the Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble in the field of neutron spectroscopy. After returning home, he became the head of the Measurement Automation Laboratory of KFKI, and under his leadership, the laboratory implemented several world-class instrument developments over two decades: e.g. a modular reactor electronics instrument family, a reactor parameter monitor, acoustic emission measuring and data processing devices and systems.
He defended his PhD thesis in 1975 on the topic of correlation analysis, and received his PhD degree in 1990. He has 14 inventions and approximately 80 publications.
Between 1985 and 1995, he held nuclear electronics training courses in several developing countries as an expert for the International Atomic Energy Agency. From 1995, he was involved in the introduction, maintenance and auditing of quality management and environmental management systems at KFKI and other large companies and power plants.
