  • After studying electrical engineering, he graduated from the evening department of the Faculty of Natural Sciences (TTK) of ELTE University in 1972, majoring in applied mathematics.

    From 1967 to 1969, he worked as a development engineer at the Electromechanical Company (EMV) on the computer design of high-frequency stages of TV and VHF transmitters.
    From 1969 to 1971, he participated in the development of corporate application systems at the Institute of Industrial and Economic Organization and Computer Technology (ISZSZI) of the Ministry of Metallurgy and Mechanical Industry (KGM). He also taught at the Kandó Kálmán Electrical Engineering College (KKVMF) and at KGM ISZSZI courses. From 1971 to 1973, he participated in the development of computer systems for academic research institutes at the Central Office of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

    From 1973, he worked as the head of the Research and Methodology Department at the National Computer Science Office (KSH OSZI) of the Central Statistical Office in the field of development and financing of corporate production management systems. In 1981, KSH OSZI merged with KSH, where, as deputy head of department, he was responsible for developing a concept aimed at selecting and economically purchasing software products that could be used at the national level. On this basis, KSH established the Computer Science Application Development Fund, which enabled the purchase of several software products that could be used at the national level.

    From 1990, he started working as a project manager for EXPO at IBM Hungary Ltd., and then in 1991 he became the head of the department dealing with the distribution of IBM PS2 computers. From 1993, as marketing director, the main task of the department he led was to build up the domestic partner network and introduce IBM's worldwide computer direct marketing network. These activities were carried out between 1996 and 2003 by the private company he established and managed for IBM Hungary Ltd.

    In recognition of his professional work, he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Order of Merit in 1980.
