    Between 1973 and 1982, he was an assistant professor and then an assistant professor at ELTE. He was a member of the team that founded the Chemical Cybernetics Laboratory at ELTE.
    In 1975, he earned a doctorate in engineering from the then single-faculty University of Chemical Industry (VVE), and in 1977, he defended his candidate's thesis in 1982.
    Later, after a longer break, he returned to education, when he taught the subject Corporate Information Systems at the Pannonian University (PE) in Veszprém between 1997 and 2015; between 2003 and 2007 he was the Vice-Rector for IT at PE.

    Between 1982 and 1990, as Deputy Director General of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, he was responsible for the organization of the national blood supply and for IT development. He was the leader of the team developing the computer system of the National Blood Service and the developer of the barcode labeling method for blood products.

    Between 1990 and 1991, he was IT Director at the NN (later ING) insurance company. In 1991, he participated in a postgraduate banking training course; then until 1994, he was Deputy CEO of Inter-Európa Bank, responsible for IT and real estate operations.

    Between 1994 and 1996, he was the CEO of IDOM Organizational, Computer and Professional Consulting Ltd. (the IT consulting company had 230 employees and an annual turnover of 3.7 billion HUF at the time).

    Between 1996 and 2000, he was a partner at Deloitte Touche, responsible for IT consulting in the Central and Eastern European region. In 1997, he participated in the IMD Executive Training for Deloitte partners in Lausanne.

    Between 2000 and 2007, he was the Managing Director of Inter-Europe Bank (IEB).

    Between 2007 and 2008, he was responsible for the metro line 4 project as Deputy CEO of the Budapest Transport Company (BKV).

    Between 2010 and 2012, he was a consultant for Bank Leumi (Switzerland).

    In 2018, the House of Jewish Excellence was established in the former synagogue in Balatonfüred, at his initiative and under his direction, and he has been its curator and chief caretaker ever since. The exhibition presents the lives and work of more than 130 significant scientists - including several computer scientists (e.g. János Neumann) - using modern digital methods and tools.

    Founding member of the Hungarian Health Informatics Society (1984) and founder of the IBM AS/400 User Group (1991).

    He has written 2 books and 35 articles, and given over a hundred lectures at various forums.

    The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) recognized his work with the László Kozma Memorial Medal in 2003.

    • The child of Holocaust survivors from Balatonfüred. Former head of the Budapest Jewish Community (BZSH), former vice-president of the Hungarian Jewish Community Association (Mazsihisz), member of the board of several Jewish organizations. He describes himself as a Jewish public activist.
