    He studied at the Moscow Institute of Economic Statistics as a scholarship holder of the Central Statistical Office (KSH). After returning home, he worked at the KSH for a short time.

    Later, at the invitation of Tibor Szentiványi, he was transferred to the Information Processing Laboratory (Infelor). He worked there until 1976 as a staff member, then as deputy director.
    Between 1976 and 1979, he was deputy general director of the Computer Applications Research Institute (Számki), the successor institute of Infelor.

    Between 1979 and 1982, he was the deputy director and then director of the National Computer Company (OSZV). Following the merger of OSZV into the Computer Application Company (Számalk), he was one of the directors and then deputy CEO of Számalk until 1985.

    Between 1986 and 1990, he was the director of the State Computer Service (ÁSZSZ), and then worked for 3 years at the State Supervision of Financial Institutions (PSZÁF).

    In addition to his managerial work, he also considered his scientific career important. He did a lot for the development of domestic professional higher education and for the translation of international methodological materials. He also regularly conducted IT audit training for public administration professionals and private companies.
    In 1979, he became a candidate in Moscow, in 1990 he became an honorary associate professor at the Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences (GATE), and in 2002 he became an honorary college professor at the Budapest College of Economics (BGF).

    Between 2002 and 2010, he was a senior employee of the Hungarian Information and Communications Authority (HIF), and from 2002, he was also a managing partner at IN-AUDIT Kft.
    From 2002, he controlled the implementation of national IT systems, conducted IT audits of the capital and several ministries, and also played a significant role in the domestic introduction of electronic signatures.

    He has been involved in the work of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) since the 1970s. From the mid-1990s, he actively participated in the establishment of the domestic organization of his narrower field, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), ISACA Hungary, and in building it into a successful, 350-person organization. He was the organization's esteemed president for many years. He also received several international ISACA awards during this period.
