László Miskolczi

He was an active member of the group that developed the first domestic corporate computerized ordering and warehouse registration system at the Operations Research Department of the Dunai Vasmű (DV) from 1963. The success of the system initiated DV computer purchasing activities and had a stimulating effect on other large companies, proving the successful applicability of plant-level, corporate-level computerized data processing. He was a born system organizer; an organizer among the best.

As a lecturer at the Department of Organization and Computer Science (SZSZO) of the Dunaújváros College Faculty (DUF) of the Technical University of Heavy Industry (NME) in Miskolc, his main teaching area was operations research. He also assisted in plant organization and data processing, supporting his younger teaching colleagues.

After the College's Computer Center was put into operation, in addition to educational tasks, SZSZO, partly under his leadership, performed tasks for several companies - developing a computer data processing system. In addition to DV, the results of his organizational talent were thus seen in Ózdi Acélművek, IKARUS, Bakony Művek and Hódmezővásárhelyi Mezőgazdasági Gépgyártó Vállalat (Hódgép).
