  • From 1961 to 1973, he was a programmer (Bull Gamma ET, Honeywell 2200) at the Data Processing Directorate of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV); during this time, he designed and developed numerous computer systems operating in the railway sector.

    From 1973 to 1985 he worked at the Computer Training Center (Számok); initially as a system programmer (IBM 370, PDP 11), later as Head of the Application Technology Department, Deputy Director of Education. After the establishment of Számalk, he became the Head of the Education Office. In addition to his activities in the field of education and further training, he is also responsible for the design and development of the SÁMÁN database management system, designed for IBM machines but also operated on ESZR machines.

    From 1985 to 1990, he was the Head of the Organization and Computer Technology Department of the Hungarian Aluminum Trust.

    From 1990 to 1998, he was an IT consultant at the National Savings Bank (OTP); as a project coordinator, he actively participated in the development of the bank's central integrated account management system.

    From 1998 to 2009, he worked for Unisys Hungary (and from 2006 for its spin-off JetSol Kft.). His activities were related to the support of Unisys' banking application systems and the development of an automated banking back-office application of his own design.

    He has been a member of the Hungarian Society of Journalists since its founding. In 2012, the Society awarded him the Lifetime Achievement Award.

    • After graduating from high school (Toldy Ferenc High School in 1950), he was a member of the Honvéd Art Ensemble and then the Duna Art Ensemble for 11 years as a folk dancer.
