Károly Megyery
He had two jobs: Comporgan, then the Central Institute of Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (KFKI) and some companies of KFKI Rt. He worked in leading positions in both places. His main areas of expertise were software development and the development and implementation of application systems.
He has taught courses on application systems implementation and project management at several universities. In 1987, he received his doctorate from the Budapest University of Technology (BME).
In the 1990s, the development of strategies (business, IT), the planning and deployment of management processes, and project management to ensure their efficiency came to the fore; later, he dealt in depth with the issues of the Information Society.
He was involved in the development and management of the Hungarian Information Society Strategy (MITS) in 2002. He is a member of the board of the Organization and Management Scientific Society (SZVT) and the Association of Information Technology, Telecommunications and Electronics Enterprises (IVSZ).
From July 2020, the NJSZT Presidency has asked Károly Megyery to join forces, standardize, develop and coordinate the preservation of the Society's past heritage as a priority NJSZT topic (ITK, ITK library, collection/repository base, ITF, Database).
