Mátyás Márton
After graduating from university, he immediately worked in the IT field. The first stops in his search for a job as a programmer were the Telephone Factory, the Ministry of Finance's Computer Science and Administration Institute (PÜMSZI), the Ministry of Internal Trade's Computer Center (Kerinforg), and the Computer Applications Research Institute (Számki).
From 1976, he headed the software department of the Computer Center at Számki, then at the Computer Application Company (Számalk), and was later appointed to manage the Computer Center. He gained experience in operating ESZR/IBM mainframe machines, organizing services, and managing the organization. He expanded his experience in the public sector as the head of the Microfilm Plant of the Tax and Financial Control Office (APEH).
He worked in the financial sector as an IT manager (Inter-Európa Bank, OTP, Aegon) from 1993. After a few years of consulting (Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC) Hungary, IBM), he joined FHB Bank, where he was responsible for the supervision, development and investments of the entire IT operation in the IBM AIX environment.
Expertise: LAN-WAN networks, intranet-Internet, network security, security policy, business continuity planning, AS400, IBM pSeries, Microsoft-based systems and networks, IBM hardware/software architecture, database management, SAN systems (EMC2, IBM, HP), electronic banking channels, archiving methods and systems, risk analysis of large IT systems, development of business continuity plans (BCP) and IT disaster recovery plans (DRP).
Member of the Hungarian National Academy of Sciences, member of the (former) expert review committee.
