János Kovacs
He graduated in 1968, but from 1966 he worked at the Computer and Business Management Company (SZÜV) in the field of computer technology: on GIER, ICL 1904 and IBM 360/370 computers.
After 1968, he worked at the Information Processing Laboratory (Infelor), and then from 1976 at the Computer Applications Research Institute (Számki), where he utilized his experience gained on the IBM 360/370 machine family in software development and application development for ESZR machines.
From 1982, he was the software manager of the Computer Application Company (Számalk); then he became the head of the System Development Department. During his work, he dealt with operating systems and hardware/software interfaces in the field of basic software; in other aspects, his topics were dialogic program development tools, as well as accounting and efficiency analysis. In addition to these, he achieved significant success in adapting and introducing software products to users.
He was an expert in IBM operating systems and participated in tasks aimed at improving the software supply of ESZR machines. He also contributed to the development of software systems necessary for the operation of multi-machine (homogeneous, inhomogeneous) systems in the domestic environment.
In 1990, Számalk transformed its offices into limited liability companies, which is when Számalk SOFTEC was founded, of which he became director - following Péter Rajki.
