    Between 1968 and 1985, he worked at the University Computer Center and the ELTE Computer Center; his highest position was research associate and department head.

    Between 1985 and 2012, he was a lecturer at the Kandó Kálmán (Electrical) Technical College (KKMF) and its successors, the Budapest Technical College (BMF), and then at Óbuda University (ÓE). From 1999, he was a college professor, and from 2000, he was an associate professor and educational director at the Neumann János Faculty of Informatics (NIK).

    In addition, he taught at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Novi Sad (Yugoslavia) in Subotica, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), the Police College (postgraduate training), the National Federation of Associations of the Disabled (MEOSZ OTTI) for Education, Further Training and Distance Learning, and the Károli Gáspár Reformed University (KRE).

    Among others, he developed the subject matter of the following subjects: Information Processing (BME Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Mathematical Engineering Department), Problem Classes and Algorithms, Database Management (KKMF and its successors). He participated in the development and accreditation of various majors: Technical Informatics, Systems Informatics, Engineering Informatics BSC.
    Since 2015, he has been an honorary professor at the University of Budapest.

    He participated in the work of the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee (MAB) as an appointed expert.

    He started programming on one of the oldest computers in operation in Hungary (Ural-2). He participated in the following major projects: designing and creating a warehouse registration system; participating in the creation of compilers (Algol, Fortran), handlers (e.g., aligning magnetic disks) and an operating system (Rosi); creating a cardiovascular disease screening system (LRI); developing a hierarchical hypertext system; researching a computer system enabling the extraction, storage and management of the information content of paper-based technical documentation; researching the domestic application possibilities of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, developing such systems (in cooperation with SOFTEC Ltd.).     Awards: Memorial Ring (BMF, 2005); Charter Memorial and Silver Medal (KRE, 2008); Pál Zsótér Memorial Medal (MEOSZ OTTI, 2010).

    • His oldest hobby is listening to serious music and practicing it amateurishly on the piano, clarinet, percussion instruments, and double bass.
    • He loves to travel domestically and internationally and take photographs.
    • They are preoccupied with theological questions.
