  • He began working with computers in 1966 at the Southern Transdanubia Electricity Supply Company (DÉDÁSZ); they were the first electricity suppliers to establish a computer center. As operations manager, he participated in the design, installation and commissioning of the Robotron R21 computer, and the introduction of several application programs. In 1973, the first electoral register was created here, as an experiment, using a computer.

    From the mid-1970s, he was one of the founders of the healthcare systems of the Tolna County “Balassa János” Hospital in Szekszárd, and the first head of the computer technology department. He published numerous articles during this time on the application of computers in healthcare, the problems of database development, and the application of microfilm in healthcare.

    From the early 1980s, as the head of the Pécs Customer Service unit of the Videoton Computer Factory, he was responsible for the commercial, technical hardware and software service of the Southern Transdanubia region. The customer service department was also responsible for creating software that met user needs, thus ensuring the delivery of turnkey computer centers.

    Between 1978 and 1981, he was the president of the Tolna County branch of the Hungarian National Youth Union. He was a member of the Hungarian National Youth Union's Board and Executive Board at the same time.
    He was also the president of the South Transdanubian Cultural and Sports Association of Organ Transplant Recipients.

    For his work, the Hungarian National Academy of Sciences awarded him the Neumann Prize in 1988.
