András Kolesár
From 1968, he worked for 2 years at the Ganz MÁVAG Computer Center, where he learned the basics of computer science using the Computer Center's French CAE 90-40 computer. In 1969, he was admitted to the evening department of the Marx Károly University of Economics (MKKE), where he graduated in 1974; he wrote his thesis on the topic of the “Objective-Based Management System” (MBO) developed in the United States.
Meanwhile, he had been working at the Computer Training Center (Számok) since 1970. He first organized programming courses, and then from 1972 to 1982, as a lecturer in the Organization and Management Theory Education Department, he taught the subject Management by Objectives system in addition to the core subject at Számok's international courses (in English). – At that time, the focus of his interest was the relationship between management and IT.
From 1983, he established an innovative microbiology organization called Microferm Chemia, consisting of Hungarian experts with the support of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB), where he combined his experience in practical management work with colleagues performing creative intellectual work and in the management of the company.
From 1987, he further deepened his IT and management knowledge in the commercial management positions of the SZKI-Scil subsidiary of the Computer Coordination Institute (SZKI) and Controll Rt. He had already become aware, even before the advent of the Internet, that in the age of personal computer networks, the most important task for management was to support information sharing and electronic collaboration.
In 1992, with the temporary involvement of external private capital, he founded UniOffice Rendszerház Kft., of which he was the owner and managing director for 22 years. The company's mission was to develop and introduce software that supported the above goal, i.e. communication, information sharing and electronic document management. Lotus Notes was chosen for this task, which then began its international success series. UniOffice Rendszerház introduced the Notes/Domino-based software culture to Hungary, which has retained its special place even in the rapidly changing technological conditions.
The originator of the Office Case Management System. UniOffice System House has created numerous project management, workflow management, case tracking, electronic document management, and quality management applications based on Notes/Domino, which have sometimes been integrated with other systems to meet the unique user needs of large organizations.
