Antal Kmely
After graduating from university, he was the head of the Department of Administrative Automation at the Central Statistical Office (KSH) until 1969. In the meantime, in 1944, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Budapest University of Technology.
Between 1969 and 1974, he was the director of the Computer Science Institute (SZTI) of the Central Statistical Office.
Between 1974 and 1982, he worked at the Computer Training Center (Numbers).
In 1982, he joined the Computer Application Company (Számalk), but soon retired.
He is the author of numerous articles and reports on computer science topics.
He was a member of the National Association of Hungarian Journalists (MUOSZ), and the vice president of the MUOSZ science and technology club. He was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Technika and the editorial board of Információ Elektronika, and was also the columnist for the latter.
