Róbert Kiss
Between 1992 and 2004, he was a teacher of mathematics, chemistry and computer science at the Bolyai János High School in Kecskemét; he was one of the professional developers of the special curriculum in computer science training.
Between 2004 and 2007, he was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Automation and Technology of Kecskemét College (later John Neumann University, GAMF Faculty). He primarily taught programming and database management subjects.
Since 2007, she has been a mathematics and computer science teacher at the Bányai Júlia High School in Kecskemét, and has been a master teacher since 2015.
Since 2008, he has been responsible for establishing robotics education in high schools and, thanks to his popularization work, its nationwide dissemination. He has written a college textbook, two electronic textbooks, and a sample library on the topic. These publications are the foundations of Hungarian-language literature. In 2018, National Instruments Hungary adapted the sample library to the LabView programming language.
In 2010, it launched a robot programming competition for public school student teams in grades 5-8 to promote robotics education, and, as a co-organizer with John von Neumann University, for high school students. These competitions were the largest domestically organized robotics competitions in terms of the number of entrants in 1918.
He has successfully represented the country with his student teams at the finals of several world robotics competitions (Doha, Qatar, 2015; San Jose, Costa Rica, 2017). He was a leading member of the professional preparatory committee for the 2019 World Robot Olympiad World Championship Final in Hungary.
In 2017, he was the initiator, organizer, and speaker of the national conference "Robotics from Kindergarten to University".
Trainer of teacher training courses in the fields of robotics and measurement and evaluation. Professional implementer of several national measurement and evaluation and IT-related projects. Speaker and section leader at numerous national and local conferences.
Awards: “Teacher of the Year” (Kecskemét, 2010); Bonis Bona – The Nation’s Talents Award (within the framework of the National Talents Program, 2013); Tarján Memorial Medal (NJSZT, 2014); Mester-M Award (MOL Foundation, 2016).
