Donát Kiss

In 1980, after graduating from university, he conducted research as a full-time engineering student at the Department of Automation of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), and then obtained his final exam in 1982. In parallel, he completed the engineering-teaching program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

After working in industrial control technology, from 1984 to 1988 he became the head of the software development department of Novotrade Rt., one of the first workshops in the "prehistoric" history of domestic game software development and trade.

He participated in the popularization of computer technology as an external host for MTV: he hosted the monthly magazine show "Mi és a Számítógép" for three years, then as one of the hosts of TV Basic (1985), and finally the 20-part series "Digitalk". For the first distance learning television series (TV Basic), which was produced under the auspices of the National Institute of Computer Science, the Computer Application Company (Számalk) and the Hungarian Television (MTV), he received the Nívó Award together with his fellow creators.

In 1988, he and his partners founded ASK Ltd., a company primarily focused on developing systems using image processing. The first urine sediment analysis instrument based on robotic microscopy and shape recognition, the Seditron, was developed here, and was presented in Milan in 1993 by the multinational diagnostic company Boehringer Mannheim.

MOBIL ASK Ltd. was founded in 1999 as a company dedicated to providing highly complex electronic service services. By 2009, the company had achieved a leading position in the mobile device service market in Hungary, then in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Their key partner was NOKIA, and they also worked for electronics manufacturers Ericsson, Motorola and DELL.

Since 2010, he has been the founder and leader of ConsultASK Management Consulting Ltd., where he is again working on image processing-based laboratory diagnostic development.
