    After spending years in the Computer Science Group of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (VIK) of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), he became a member of the MProlog development team led by Péter Szeredi as a scientific associate of the Theoretical Laboratory of the Computer Science Coordination Institute (SZKI) between 1982 and 1991. He primarily designed and implemented the MProlog user interface and led the expert system development team of the SIEMENS configurator.

    After the 1990 regime change, he worked as a software developer and designer in industrial and research projects in Hungary and the German-speaking world.
    Project work: 1993-94 (Microsoft): localization of system software; 1995-96 (ABB-Netzleittechnik GmbH): network control application software; 1997-2001 (T-Systems Austria): library software; 1998 (Wiener Städtische Versicherung): database quality assurance; 2000 (IQSOFT, SILK research project): creation of data integration verification software; 2002-2003 (Multilogic Kft.): design and implementation of contract management software; 2005 (EDIT research project): UML description of biotaxonomic activity; 2009 (RailNavigator Kft.): design of railway passenger dispatching software.

    Between 2005 and 2019, he was an assistant professor at the University of Pécs (PTE) - and for a few years, an associate professor at the University of Dunaújváros (DUE). His subjects taught: Logic Programming, Software Technology, Algorithm Theory, Programming Methodology, General Systems Theory.

    In 2013, he earned a PhD degree from the University of PTE with the defense of his dissertation entitled "Semantic-based legal knowledge management technologies".

    In 2016-2017, he implemented an American Sign Language (ASL) - English translator based on Prolog as part of the SignAll software project to facilitate communication between signers and hearing people. It is used at Gallaudet Sign University in the USA.

    Since 2018, he has been a systems engineer at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft., where his duties include user and architectural design of industrial software projects.

    Since 2019, he has been developing an English-language chatbot on his own initiative, based on Prolog.

    • In the years after the 1990s regime change, he founded the Győrőfű ecovillage with several colleagues, where he still lives today.
    • He studied music as a child; since the 2000s he has been an active folk musician, kobzás, singer, and music teacher. In the summer, he teaches kobz playing to Csángó children in Csángóföld.
