He taught at a high school for five years. From 1960 he was a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Mathematics of Kossuth Lajos University (KLTE), and then from 1960 he was an assistant professor at the Department of Geometry.
From 1961, the head of the university assigned him to study computer science: for three semesters, he continued his studies at the Cybernetics Research Group (KKCS) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences with the M-3 computer. After that, he was entrusted with the development of computer science subjects for the mathematics and mathematics teacher students of the KLTE and the organization of education.
