Antal Illés
He began his professional career in 1980 as a software developer at GELKA, and then in 1983 he worked at the X-ray Development Department of Medicor Művek, also as a software developer. His task was to develop the software that controlled the X-ray generators; he also participated in the American adaptation of the products.
He founded an economic working partnership (GMK) with his partner in 1981, and it was transformed into a Small Cooperative in 1986. In 1987, he worked as a full-time entrepreneur as the vice president of the Microcontrol Small Cooperative - he also headed the computer technology department, which was involved in the design and production of network cards and the assembly of PCs.
In the spring of 1989, he founded HUMANsoft Electronics Ltd. with his partners, which he led as managing director for more than 20 years.
In the summer of 1990, he spent 2 months at York University in Toronto (he gained insight into the functioning of the Western market economy; this trip also resulted in a reseller contract with DELL in 1991). Between 1993-1994, he completed the Executive MBA program at Purdue University (West Lafayette, Indiana).
HUMANsoft started its activities with software development, but its contract with DELL Computer changed its main profile. As DELL's largest domestic distributor and service partner, it had the opportunity to continuously expand its portfolio. The steps to this were the start of IT consulting and system integration activities. In 1992, it became a distributor of Best modems, in 1993, OKI printers, and in 1994, a partner of SCALA. Thus, by the mid-2000s, with its expanded scope of activities, the development of new competencies (outsourcing, application development, Navision-Axapta enterprise management software) and almost 200 professionally well-trained employees, it had grown into one of the largest domestic ICT system integrator companies.
The company he managed significantly increased its sales revenue every year until the change of ownership and closed its business with a positive result.
The company, which has been family-owned since 1997, was acquired by Freesoft Plc. in a share exchange transaction in 2007, but HUMANsoft retained its independence; he still led the company as CEO until the fall of 2009.
He has been supporting the operation of his investments with his professional experience since 2009.
Award: IT Manager of the Year (Association of IT, Telecommunications and Electronics Enterprises, IVSZ, 2004).
- His international professional qualification: Executive MBA (Ecole Supereure de Commerce, Rouen, FR, 1994) – which significantly changed his business thinking.
- He has been the president of the athletics department of VASAS SC since 1999.
- Member of the VASAS SC Board of Directors since 2004.
- He was the vice president of the Hungarian Athletics Federation (MASZ) in 2008-2009.
