Mihály Horváth

From 1948 to 1958, he was an assistant professor at the Internal Medicine Clinic No. 1 of the Medical University of Pécs. In 1962, he was a fellow of the International Atomic Energy Agency at the Fisiologia Clinic in Pisa. Between 1958 and 1991, he was the chief physician of the Balatonfüred State Heart Hospital, head of the chemical and radioisotope diagnostic laboratory. From 1961, he was a lecturer at the Department of Analytical and Radiochemistry of the University of Chemical Industry of Veszprém. From 1972, he was a candidate of medical sciences, from 1972, a doctor of medical sciences. From 1984, he was an honorary university professor.

He developed his own method for computer-assisted graphical nuclear cardiology combined with exercise. He played a major role in the spread of ECG-controlled real-time computer data acquisition.

Between 1970 and 1980, he was the only physician member of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB). He is a member of numerous domestic and international scientific organizations. He is one of the domestic initiators of the rehabilitation of heart patients.
