Gabor Halasz

From 1976 to 1983, he was a software development research associate at the Computer Applications Research Institute (SZÁMKI), where he participated in the development of the population registry IT system.

Between 1983 and 1986, he was a software sales representative at Interag Rt.
Between 1986 and 1988, he was an independent software export department manager at Számalk.

From 1988, he and his family were permanently posted to Germany, where they established the German representation of SZÁMALK in the form of a joint venture: Datorg GmbH. He is still the managing director of this company. During the eight years he spent in Hamburg, he organized the participation of more than 100 Hungarian IT professionals in German software development projects.

After returning home, he became the owner-manager of Datorg Team Kft., then of Dateam-Trade Kft. They deal with the sale, implementation and customization of enterprise management systems. They are also involved in the domestic localization of the BAAN production management-based ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, and then distribute the Microsoft NAVISION (NAV) system and its industry solution (PRINTVIS) developed for printing houses. His company also deals with custom software development and labor recruitment.

It is a member of the IVSZ (Association of IT Companies), the Deutsche Wirtschaftsclub Ungarn (DWC) and the Printing and Paper Industry Association.
