    He began his teaching career at the Department of Wired Telecommunications of the Budapest University of Technology (BME). He still works at the legal successor of this department. He was one of the lecturers and developers of the subjects Linear Networks, Computer Circuit Design, Telecommunication Circuits, Modeling and Simulation, Communication Theory, Fundamentals of Optimization, Applied Optimization and Game Theory. His research interests also cover the above topics, as well as the strategy of educational organization and the development of the information society. In 1982, he obtained the scientific degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (his dissertation: Linear Circuit Design with Optimization).

    From 1990 to 1994, he was the Deputy Dean for Education of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (VIK) of BME.
    In recognition of his pioneering teaching and excellent research work, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (BME VIK) appointed him an honorary university professor in 2010. In 2015, he was the initiator and organizer of the research skills development course series introduced for BME doctoral students and young researchers.

    From 1996 to 2001, he worked as a research organizer and business development advisor to the CEO of the Hungarian subsidiary of the telecommunications company Ericsson.
    Between 1996 and 2008, he participated in the evaluation of international research projects and project proposals funded by the European Commission. He participated in eight European Union research and science organization projects, of which he was the domestic leader for five.

    He was a member or board member of numerous domestic and international professional and scientific organizations (such as: Hungarian Academy of Sciences Telecommunications Scientific Committee; Hungarian Association of Information and Communication Technologies (HTE), chairman of the HTE Education Committee; member and then chairman of EUNICE (European University for Customised Education).

    Awards: Outstanding Employee of Education (1989); Tivadar Puskás Award (HTE, 1998); László Kozma Memorial Medal (BME, 2003).
