    After graduating from university, he remained as a researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications Electronics (HEI) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (VIK) of the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and participated in teaching information theory subjects. He received his doctorate in probability and mathematical statistics in 1985. Later, until 1990, he also taught mathematics at several universities (BME and the American University of Toledo, OH).

    From 1990, he held development manager and CEO positions at various foreign and multinational IT development companies in Hungary: Lotus Development and WR Grace, Scala Business Solutions, Appaloosa Inc., ImageMedica Corp. (the latter in our country: Képdoktor Kft.). Appalosa Interactive Inc. was an international computer video game development company, while Képdoktor Kft. developed Internet backend support for medical diagnosis based on radiology images.

    Most recently, he was the Managing Director of the Budapest-based development company of eRAD Healthcare Image Processing, and also the company's European Director. The eRAD system developed in Hungary under his leadership has become practically an industry standard in Hungary; every fourth CT/MR scan is performed on this system, and the system does a lot to achieve a uniform standard of radiological care.

    His areas of interest and research were image processing, image and speech compression, storage and transmission, as well as radiology and healthcare informatics.
