Károly Gyetvai
Since 1981, he has been a teacher at a single school, now known as the Debrecen Vocational Training Center Mechwart András Mechanical and Informatics Technical School (DSZCMAGIT). Since 1992, he has been the deputy general director. Since the first school computer program, he has played a major role in the introduction of IT training and vocational training in secondary schools. As an expert in public education and vocational training, he has participated in the development of several IT curricula. He was a professional reviewer or author of several IT textbooks and educational booklets. His students have achieved many successes in national academic competitions.
Since 1998, he has been a member of the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) Certification Committee and is the head of his school's ECDL examination center. DSZCMAGIT has received several awards as "the best ECDL examination center of the year". 90 percent of Mechwart students obtain the ECDL certificate during their training.
Between 1988 and 1996, he also participated in the IT teacher training program at Kossuth Lajos University (KLTE) as an external lead teacher, subject-specific methodology lecturer, and state examination committee member.
Since 2005, he has been an examiner, chairman, and remedial teacher at the advanced IT baccalaureate exams every year.
Awards: Ministerial Certificate of Commendation (Minister of Culture, 1985); Mechwart Award (DSZCMAGIT, 1997); Neumann Award (NJSZT, 2020).
