Andras Forgacs
From 1979, he worked in production management at the Office Equipment and Fine Mechanics Company, and then participated in the design of the production management system of the Beloiannisz Communications Factory (BHG) for the R20 computer.
From 1983, following the head of the IT department of BHG, and - going through all the organizational forms of the new company law with him - he joined the then-founded Dataplan IT Cooperative (later Rt.). For 12 years, as the company's commercial and organizational director, he participated in the management of the company (further development and servicing of R10, R11 computers; servicing VIDEOTON machines; self-designed secretarial systems for Z80 computers; development of meteorology satellite receivers, measurement data collection systems, and corporate management systems for industrial companies; later sales and servicing of PCs). In the 1990s, Dataplan rose to become one of the large Hungarian private IT companies.
From 1995, he managed the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) business unit of KFKI ISYS, a subsidiary of KFKI Számítástechnikai Rt. (under his leadership, a comprehensive corporate management IT system was introduced at nearly 40 industrial companies).
From 2002, he worked as an external consultant to the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (IHM) on the integration of the small post office and Teleház. From 2004, he was the director of the 100-person IT Application Development Division of the Hungarian State Railways Ltd. (MÁV) (development and operation of more than a hundred applications at MÁV's business branches).
From 2008, he participated as a freelancer, among others, in the planned reorganization of Hungarian Public Transport Co., Ltd. as the leader of the BPR (Business Process Reengineering) project. Until 2010, he worked in several other development projects as a consultant or project leader (e.g. in the tender preparation of the neutron accelerator investment project planned for Debrecen within the framework of the ESS (European Spallation Source) multi-disciplinary research facility).
From 2010, he was one of the project managers of the National Inventory project at the project company of the Hungarian National Asset Management Company. Since 2014, he has been participating in the development of the bank's IT strategy and developments as an IT consultant to the Hungarian National Bank (MNB).
Bőgel György társszerzővel írt könyve 2004-ben jelent meg: Informatikai beruházás - üzleti megtérülés (Műszaki Könyvkiadó, Budapest).
- His articles on the history of the United Bulb, titled The Cradle of the Hungarian Electronics Industry, were published in the Újpesti Helytörténi Értesítő between 2014 and 2022.
- He wrote a book titled From Rescue to the Wallenberg Commission (Koloroptika Edition, 2019).
