  • He worked in the electrical industry for four years, then after the change of regime he held senior positions in various organizations. Between 1990 and 1994 he was the mayor of the 16th District of Budapest. From 1999 he was an employee of the Prime Minister's Office, then a department head at the Ministry of Finance.
    In 2000, he managed information society programs as the head of the program coordination department of the Government Commission for Informatics of the Prime Minister's Office. In 2002, he was appointed as the head of the department of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Later, as the public administration program manager of the Veresegyház and Region Development Cooperative, he managed the micro-regional association model experiment public administration development project.
    From 2010, he was a ministerial commissioner in the Ministry of Rural Development, where his task was to launch and supervise the Public Address Register (KCR) project. Shortly afterwards, he became the Deputy State Secretary responsible for e-government at the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice (KIM). At KIM, he played a prominent role in the establishment of the Hungarian e-government institutional system and the development of government IT. Under his professional supervision, the new concept and legal framework of e-government were born, and it was then that the regulated electronic administration services were created, which are important foundations for paperless public administration operations.
    Following the dissolution of KIM, he was the Deputy President of the National Court Office responsible for IT from 2014. In 2015, he was appointed Director General of the Surveying and Remote Sensing Institute (FÖMI). In 2016, he was given the task of integrating FÖMI into the Budapest Metropolitan Government Office. Following the transformation, he led the organization as a department head until 2018, and then became the Managing Director of the Lechner Lajos Knowledge Center, Regional, Architectural and Informatics Nonprofit Ltd., which also integrated the tasks of FÖMI, until 2019.
    Due to his illness, he did not accept government assignments for a while, but he was an expert for the National Communications and Informatics Council (NHIT) for years and was an active member of several professional civil society organizations.
