  • Electrical Engineer - Budapest University of Technology - 1959.

  • From August 1959, he worked at the Cybernetics Research Group (KKCS) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. There, he became involved in the ongoing construction work of the M-3 computer, and later participated in the operation and further development of the machine, and later in its relocation to the József Attila University of Szeged (JATE).
    From 1965, he was responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Ural-2 computer. In addition to the above work, he was involved in various hardware and software developments, partly for research purposes, partly on external orders - examples include the design of the central unit of the Digirad dispatch center, writing design and diagnostic programs, and other work.

    In 1969, he founded and headed the Design Automation Laboratory (organized as a department) at the Computer Coordination Institute (SZKI). The department developed programs to assist in the design of computer components and to prepare production documentation, which were then used as a service. As a professional leader, he contributed to the introduction of modern electronic manufacturing technology in Hungary. The latest equipment for the production, inspection and assembly of multilayer printed wiring boards was put into operation at the SZKI and partly at the Department of Electronics Technology of the Budapest University of Technology (BME).

    His task was also to organize domestic cooperation in the design and automation work of the Unified Computing System (ESZR) planned by the socialist countries at the SZKI. In this field, he was the Hungarian member of the international expert council.

    In 1990, he founded Multilayer Ltd. with a few colleagues, but its scope of activity was only partially related to his previous work.

    Retired since 1999.

    • He has been a competitive bridge player since 1958.
    • He is an internationally known researcher of the Chinese Book of Changes (Ji Qing). His book on the subject, “The Forgotten Worldview of the Ji Qing – The Ji Sphere,” was published by Szenzár Publishing in 2005.
