Dömötör Dévényi

Initially, he worked as a system organizer at the Csepel Machine Tool Factory, and then from 1980 at the MEZŐGÉP Trust on the development and practical implementation of production management systems.
From 1985, he held senior positions in sales and marketing at IT companies: Computer Coordination Institute (SZKI), a subsidiary of SZKI-Scil (1985-1989), Softinvest (1989-1992), Microsystem (1992-1994).

From 1994 he worked for companies developing healthcare IT systems. Between 1994 and 2000 he was the commercial director of the domestic subsidiary of Shared Medical System (SMS Magyarország Kft.), which installed the first hospital integrated system in Hungary. Later he became a project manager at Siemens. From 2001 he worked for ten years at International System House (ISH) as a commercial and marketing manager.
As a retiree, he has been working as an IT expert in his own business since 2011.

In 2002, he was one of the founders of the first journal dealing with healthcare informatics, IME (Informatics and Management in Healthcare, later Interdisciplinary Hungarian Healthcare); he has been the columnist for the journal's Infocommunications Section since its inception. He participates in the organization and conduct of the annual IME Infocommunications Conferences.

He was a member of several professional organizations: Mechanical Engineering Scientific Association (GTE), Measurement Technology and Automation Scientific Association (MATE), Hungarian Healthcare Informatics Society (MAIT). He is the author of numerous professional publications; he participated in IT exhibitions with presentations and conferences with lectures.
The John Neumann Computer Science Society (NJSZT) awarded him the Tarján Memorial Medal (2024).
