    He began his professional career as a research associate at the Automation Research Institute (AKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where he worked on the technical commissioning of the institute's first computer (Minsk-22) and its development with Western peripherals.

    Between 1969 and 1975, he headed the operations department of the Computer Center of the Hungarian Telecommunications Association (MHE).

    From 1975 to 1987, he was the head of the scientific department at the Telecommunications Research Institute (TKI), where he worked on researching minicomputer applications and then on developing the PCM subscriber level of a crossbar telephone exchange. In 1987, he obtained a doctorate in Computer Science from the Budapest University of Technology (BME).

    Between 1987 and 1990, he led the type testing work for the localization of the first domestic digital telephone exchange at the Hungarian Postal Experimental Institute (PKI) as chief digitization engineer.

    Between 1990 and 1993, he was the Deputy Head of the Development Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Water Management (KHVM), and then became the Head of the Telecommunications Department, where, among other things, he was responsible for the announcement of the first mobile phone tender in Hungary.
    Between 1993 and 1994, he was the Director General of Telecommunications and Information Technology at the World Exhibition Program Office, from where he returned to the ministry in 1994 to head the Development Department.
    Between 2000 and 2004, he was the Head of the Development Group of the Ministry of Transport and Water Management (KVM), and then, following the latest reorganization, the Head of the European Union Integration and Regulation Group of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (IHM).

    From 2004 to the end of 2006, he worked as a telecommunications and IT attaché at the Hungarian Permanent Representation in Brussels. In 2008, he retired from his position as Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Economy (GM).

    He was appointed a senior government official in 2003. He was the founding president of the Communications and Informatics Professional Section of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, established in 1996. After his retirement, he participated in the work of the Hungarian Space Research Council as an invited expert.

    His awards include: Gábor Baross Award (Minister of National Development, 1998); Tivadar Puskás Award (Hírkommunikations and Informatics Scientific Association (HTE), 2000); Professional Medal for Hungarian Informatics (Minister of Informatics and Communications, 2002).
