Huba Brückner
From 1970 he was an employee of the Computer Technology Training Center (Numbers); in 1970-1971 he participated in the Computer Technology training held by the Control Data Institute in Frankfurt/Main. Afterwards he dealt with education, educational organization, and then headed the Department of Methodology and Educational Technology. On his proposal, developments related to computer education began and the institute's video studio for producing and distributing educational materials was built (with a video library and a program distribution network).
In 1974, he was a UN scholar in the United States; he researched computer education systems and methods at renowned American universities (MIT, Harvard, University of Michigan, University of Illinois, Brigham Young University) and computer manufacturers (Control Data Corporation, MITRE Cop.).
From 1981 he was the editor of the journal Information-Electronics, then the head of international online information services within the library of the Computer Applications Company (Számalk). In 1984 he worked several times in Iraq as a UNESCO expert.
He is the author of numerous books and studies, and an expert of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB). His main research areas are computer education, online information services (including videotex systems that are the gateway to the Internet), and multimedia developments and applications.
He has been a university doctor (BME) since 1983; he also obtained his PhD degree in 2001.
From 1986, he was the editor and then deputy editor-in-chief of the weekly Computerworld-Számítástechnika; from 1991, he was the founding editor-in-chief of PC-World. From 1992, as the founding director of the Fulbright Commission, he led the United States-Hungary branch of the renowned scholarship exchange program for 21 years, supporting the scholarship work of Hungarian and American university teachers, researchers and students.
He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Optical, Acoustic and Film Technology and the Optical, Acoustic and Film Technology Association.
Honors: Certificate for Outstanding Work (Számok, 1977); Certificate of Merit (Polish – US Fulbright Commission, 2005); Dániel Fehér Memorial Medal (World Council of Hungarian Professors, 2005); Pro Universitate et Scientia (World Council of Hungarian Professors, 2006); Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2010); Certificate of Recognition (European Fulbright Commission, 2012); Director Emeritus Certificate (Hungarian Fulbright Board, 2012).

- Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Kodály Society Foundation since 2015.
- In 2007, the management of the Bárdos Lajos Society honored him with a commemorative plaque. – He is the author of the book “On a Straight Path – The Life of Bárdos Lajos”, published by the Society in 2017.
