    Between 1973 and 1980, he worked on the preparation of the population register at the State Population Registration Office (ÁNH), and then researched the service possibilities that could be extracted from the population registration database and carried out using mathematical methods: for example, he developed a linear programming model for optimizing primary school enrollment, a version of which he also programmed on real data. He defended his doctoral dissertation on this topic in 1976 at the Marx Károly University of Economics (MKKE).

    From 1980, he prepared various studies at the Food Industry Machine Data Processing Company (ÉLGAV).
    From 1982, at Számalk and then at the Central Statistical Office, he analyzed, among other things, the domestic and Eastern European computer technology market and examined the trends in its development. He wrote his PhD thesis on this topic at the Gluskov Institute of Cybernetics in Kiev in 1994.
    Meanwhile, from 1987, he was a member of the supervisory board of the MIKI Software Development Subsidiary, founded by the Instrument Industry Research Institute (MIKI), for three years; from 1990, he was a member of the supervisory board of the Commercial Organization Institute (Kerszi).

    From 1994, he worked at the Neumann János Faculty of Informatics (NIK) of Óbuda University (ÓE) and its legal predecessors (KKMF, BMF) as a college teacher and then as a university associate professor. His most important taught subjects: Computer architectures; Computer networks. From 1996, he worked at the legal predecessor college as a deputy scientific director of the institute, then as a director of relationship development at the faculty level, and for years he participated with voting rights in the institute and faculty council meetings. In 1998, he wrote the textbook "Technical Informatics" for the technical specialization of accredited higher vocational education.

    He has been a member of the Hungarian Journalists' National Association (MÚOSZ) since 1984. He is a founding member of the editorial board of Mikroszámítógép Magazin (later published as Alaplap, then Új Alaplap), Floppylap (he was also a columnist for these magazines throughout), and Byte Magyarország. He has also published regularly in the professional journals Számítástechnika and then Computerworld-Számítástechnika.
    Since 1998, he has been a member of the board of trustees of the Hungarian Computer Science and Informatics Foundation.
    Since 2006, he has also worked as an IT forensic expert; he has conducted IT forensic examinations in many cases that have received national attention.

    He has been a member of the Hungarian Society of Social Sciences from the beginning: he has already given a lecture at the 1st national congress, and for years he was the secretary of its umbrella organization, the User Circle. He has worked on the organizing committees of several conferences (both as a leader and as a specialist); and he has been a member of the national executive committee for several terms.

    His awards: Presidential Commendation (KSH, 1976); Bronze Medal of Merit for National Service (Minister of Defense, 1977); CEO Commendation (Számalk, 1983); Gold Medal for Trade Union Work (National Council of Trade Unions, 1987); Excellent Work (Council of Ministers, 1989); Neumann Award (NJSZT, 1992); Director General Commendation (Kandó Kálmán Technical College, KKMF, 1999); Director General Commendation (Budapest Technical College, BMF, 2003); János Neumann Memorial Plaque (ÓE NIK, 2014).

    • From 1989, he was a member of the board of trustees of the Talento Foundation, which was professionally led by László Polgár and established an elementary school using his educational methods, until László Polgár left.
