Miklós Bohus
He is an associate professor, deputy director, and head of the Computer Engineering Department at the Institute of Telecommunications Electronics (HEI) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (VIK) of the Budapest University of Technology (BME).
In the early 1960s, he gave lectures on control technology and wrote notes: Theory of Linear Controls (1963), Structural Elements of Control Technology (1962). In the mid-1960s, his Electronic Computers Note was published, followed shortly by his methodological guide. In 1968, his book Computers and Telemechanics was published by the Technical Publishing House. In the late 1960s, he also published his notes on Digital Systems Design. These formed the basis of his lectures of the same title.
He was the editor-in-chief of the journal Measurement and Automation.
He introduced generations of telecommunications engineers to digital design and the world of computers. His department instructors held exercises and measurements in these subjects. The education was greatly aided by the use of the Facom-R (Fujitsu) transistor minicomputer.
Under his leadership, the Semiconductor Digital Electronics Engineering program was launched in 1969.
