László Binder

During his university studies, he worked as a practice supervisor at the Department of Theoretical Electricity of the Budapest University of Technology (BME) from 1963.

From 1964, he participated in the development of the EMG 830 computer at the Electronic Measuring Devices Factory (EMG), and then headed the computer's service department.

From 1968 he worked in the Hungarian-French computer technology license and know-how transfer project, and from 1970, after the project was reorganized, he was transferred to its new head, the Computer Technology Coordination Institute (SZKI), where he worked – with two interruptions – until 1992. His responsibilities focused on “Western” professional and later commercial relations, so he was seconded to the Ministry of Foreign Trade to manage French license relations (CII, Sagem, etc.) between 1979 and 1983 as the commercial secretary of the Paris commercial branch. Then, from 1987 to 1991, he was the senior commercial advisor of the Algerian commercial branch.

Meanwhile, between 1983 and 1987, he was the commercial director of SZKI, and from 1991 to 1992, he was again the SZKI.

Between 1992 and 1998, he worked as the Managing Director of Operator Hungaria Kft., a mobile paging company majority-owned by Antenna Hungaria. From 1998 to 2008, he was the Managing Director and CEO of HungaroDigiTel Kft. (HDT), a professional satellite data transmission operator commissioned by Antenna Hungária. He then served as its Managing Director until 2012. In addition to the above positions, he served as the CEO of Eurotel Rt., also part of the Antenna Hungária group, from 1999 to 2002, and as the head of the Telecommunications Business Unit of Antenna Hungária Zrt. from November 2007 to September 2008.

He has carried out a wide range of professional and social activities both at Hungarian and international levels, and has held important positions in several organizations. (Member of the Board of the Hungarian-French and Hungarian-US Joint Chambers, Head of the Developing Markets Department of the International Paging Association, President of the Hungarian Electronics and Infocommunications Association)
