  • He worked at the Bolyai Institute of the University of Szeged (SZTE) between 1949 and 1959. His dissertation on the existence of non-elementary recursive functions was published in the Proceedings of the First Hungarian Mathematical Congress (1950).

    Between 1959 and 1965, he conducted research at the Department of Mathematical Logic and Applications of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Mathematical Research Institute. In the meantime, in 1963, he spent 3 months as a guest of the Romanian Academy of Sciences.

    Between 1965 and 1969, he worked as a senior research fellow at the Cybernetics Laboratory of the József Attila University of Szeged (JATE).

    From 1969 to 1983, until his retirement, he researched and taught as a scientific associate at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the JATE and then the Bolyai Institute of SZTE. He was an assistant to Professor László Kalmár and an active participant in the development of his textbooks. He was a teacher at the professor's so-called Szeged school, which he started in 1957. He was one of the first domestic representatives of the teaching of mathematical logic and programming in Hungary.

    His research interests include mathematical logic, including the theory of recursive functions, Boolean function minimization problems, and the theoretical study of programming.

    He was a member of the Bolyai János Mathematical Society from 1950, and was the secretary of the editorial board of Acta Cybernetica from 1969.
