Laszlo Benko
He began to actively program while still in school (in elementary school he participated in a BASIC course organized for the children of employees of the Central Physical Research Institute (KFKI); in a competition between schools in Budapest he won 5th place with his text editor written for the ZX81 computer; in high school he won 1st place with his chemistry teaching program; in Hungarian he created a program for evaluating timed poetry; in 1987 he was among the 10 best student programmers in the country with 2 teaching programs in a high school competition).
After graduating from university, he worked for various building engineering design companies. He learned and applied many programming languages; he especially liked working with graphics tasks.
In 2001, he founded BENTERV Building Engineering, Computer Engineering and Education Bt., where he is the managing director and building engineering designer, energy certifier, and expert. In his design work, he designs building engineering systems for new and existing buildings with various functions. Since 2009, he has also been preparing energy certificates.
He has co-authored 28 computer science books on various programming languages (Turbo Pascal, Object-Oriented Pascal, C, C++), as well as on the use of operating systems and user programs. He has been a reviewer and editor of several books for ComputerBooks Publishing.
