At his workplaces, he first dealt with the programming of the EMG 830/20 computer and the development of its software system. He occasionally taught programming. His main area of interest was the theory and practice of creating compilers. In close contact with Cornelis H. Koster (Netherlands, Catholic University of Nijmegen) and in collaboration with Zoltán Laborczi, he introduced the use of CDL (Compiler Description Language) and then the CDL2 Laboratory in software development at his workplaces. He was the lead developer of the Mitra-15 Cobol system, the (Unix-based) Answer portable operating system, and the implementation of the MProlog language suitable for artificial intelligence applications.

Together with Bálint Andrási, he developed the ArtBook technology, which is used to create digital art albums that appear on Apple mobile devices tailored to the user's interests. The digital albums are multilingual. The technology (and the applications created) are based on a self-developed data management system called Kitáruló Adattár.

In recognition of his nearly five decades of work in the field of computer programming and the development of domestic digital culture, as well as his active social organizing activities, the President of the Republic of Hungary awarded him the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit in 2020.
